A National Study on Canadian Children's Programming

The Alliance for Children and Television (ACT) is conducting the largest study to date on Canadian children's programming, with an eye to better understanding the media's impact on our young people. This groundbreaking national study is led by the Université de Montréal communications department's Centre for Youth and Media Studies, under the supervision of Dr. André H. Caron, Ed. D.

Launch of the 2010 French-Language Awards of Excellence

We are launching the 2010 French-Language Awards of Excellence. This edition of the awards will honour achievement in French-Canadian TV programming for young viewers over the past two years.

The competition is open to all Canadian-made, youth-oriented productions originally created & broadcast in French between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2009. Nominations must be submitted by no later than Friday, February 5, 2010, at 5 p.m..

The awards gala, to be held in Montreal on May 27, 2010, is a true celebration of the talent and creativity of Canada's French-speaking youth-television professionals.
